True, the more they see you are close to God, the more they want to get you lost, although, they always fail. Who would win in the power of Jesus name.

Im sorry but I must go back to one of your previously closed questions. Your best answerer was close to stating what the quote "all that glitters is not gold" but here is (I think) a much simpler meaning and origin.
All that glitters is not gold
Meaning
A showy article may not necessarily be valuable.
Origin
The 12th century French thelogian Alain de Lille wrote "Do not hold everything gold that shines like gold".
Shakespeare and others have expressed the same notion. In 1553 ,we have Thomas Becon, in The relikes of Rome:
"All is not golde that glistereth."
Shakespeare is the most well-known use of the idea. His version is sometimes transcribed as 'all that glisters is not gold'. From The Merchant of Venice, 1596:
MOROCCO:
O hell! what have we here?
A carrion Death, within whose empty eye
There is a written scroll! I'll read the writing.
All that glitters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold:
Gilded tombs do worms enfold.
Had you been as wise as bold,
Young in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been inscroll'd:
Fare you well; your suit is cold.
Cold, indeed; and labour lost:
Then, farewell, heat, and welcome, frost!
Portia, adieu. I have too grieved a heart
To take a tedious leave: thus losers part.
P.S. The answer to your question is True!
There u go mam!!!

The closer I get to God the more secure I am that the evils of the world can't harm me. My goal is to lead my life with direction from the Holy Spirit. In the end God will give the ultimate reward to his people...Heaven. Everything I endure from the evil of the world just lets me know how gloryful heaven will be.

I once read something like that. I think it was in the nag hammadi texts. Not sure if it was Gospel of Thomas or other within the Nag ancient texts. It said the closer you get to the understanding, the farther you get from god or faith. It was more of a gnostic understanding though.
When you say more sensitive to the evils, I think there is a level of understanding you get. Like you have no ability to judge anymore. You see why it happens and why people are the way they are.

I'm not sure sensitivity to the evils of this world is the right term but I would say that one becomes more sin conscious.

True.....but because one becomes sensitive to all the evils in the world.....that in its self is reason to draw close to God.

The only way you can get close to God is by learning the bible by heart.
So...yes...if you live your life by the bible...the world must appear evil.
The only difference is that I don't need to read the bible to know that the world is evil.
But it is only the stupidity of mankind which makes the world evil. And those who live their life by the bible are just as stupid as the rest of us.
Ask yourself this...
What is the percentage of stupid people on Q&A?
Going by the questions in every category...I would say that it is pretty high.

Osama Bin Laden believes that he is closer to God. That's why he had airplanes flown into buildings. Remember the 9/11 hijackers saying, "We're doing this for God". What a more peaceful world if God based religions didn't exist.

For some reason God didn't want man to live life with the knowledge of Good and Evil. Maybe because we couldn't handle it. God had it, so God, maybe, could handle it.

most of the times it is false as the burning desire to weed out all sorts of evilness arises in our mind when we get closer to god
