I have tried to find the answer to this question but having a hard time. Under normal circumstances a green card will expire 1 year outside the united states. But on Military orders there should be some type of waiver and I need to know what type of waiver or documentation she needs and how to get it. Also is there a fee accompanied with it or not.

All she will need is the green card and her military orders. Her time overseas will not count against her, not because US military bases are "US soil" (they are not) but because while in the military she is a US government employee: the Immigration and Nationality Act makes a specific exception for that situation in Section 316.

In addition, as others have mentioned, your wife might be entitled to apply for expedited naturalization, if she wants it, due to her military service. Here is JAG's booklet on the subject:

Perhaps she should check with her Command. I think her Green Card is more than sufficient and I hope she will be granted citizensip when she returns - should she so desire.
It's immigrants like your wife who make us so darn p.o.'d at the ILLEGALS!
Many thanks and blessings on your wife and your family for that which she and you are sacrificing for all of us.

think about it. United States Military Identification. that little blue card is all that's needed. everything will be different upon return. why would you need to maintain a green card?

Technically she is not overseas...U.S. military bases are considered U.S. soil...you can apply for a renewed Green Card from there...you need to get with JAG about this...you need to see if they will let her travel with you, because if you are going to Germany, she made need a visa...depending where her passport is issued from...
