I will spend this Christmas with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson. I love a quiet holiday, sitting by a fire and reading, maybe a glass of wine or cup of hot chocolate. Alone time is something I don't get nearly enough of, so when I do, that is always such a treat. It's not the size of the gathering, it's how you feel when you're together. Be grateful that you have a family of your own and enjoy the time you get to spend with them. Too soon your children will grow up and move away and your parents will not always be here.

I have a hug family of my own but I am a sibling of many. Believe me, it's easier just to have the holidays for yourself. That's what I do now. It's just to complicated any other way. If you would like to have more people around you, invite friends and family to your house. There will be more people there then just your parents and her parents. Or....spend the day at a food bank helping to feed the homeless. It will be very gratifying.

It sounds to me like you have a nice family, not to big, not to small.
I spend my holidays with my older Bro, lil Bro and Sis, my Mom and Dad, and also my Uncle Grandma and Grandpa.
Not to big, mainly because all us kids live at home still lol
Happy holidays!! Hope you have a great one! No need to feel depressed at all =D

We usually do Christmas Eve at my families house and there is alot of us, usually 50 or so people. Then we spend Christmas day with my in-laws, there are 8 of us. So I do the big and the little. I am not sure which one is better, they sort of off set each other.

actually i more prefer to have a small family rather than a big one..the attention is all within ur own cosy family.. i do agree that the atmosphere of a bigger family is much more grand.. more merrier.. but when my parents get around with my uncles and aunts.. i felt like i'm all alone.. except when we are abt to head home.. they have to look around for me..
so its alrite.. dun be sad.. anyway happy holidays~!! =D

Well I spend it with my sisters, mom and grandma on Xmas morning. (my sisters are still young) then I come home and have xmas with my partner. Just us and the animals. Then we go back to my grandma's and have lunch with the rest of the family. My grandma has 5 kids all of which have kids and some have kids of their own. Then we head back home rest and change then head to my partners parents where we have dinner and xmas with them.
Don't worry about what you don't have, just enjoy what you do have. Hope you have a good one!

Our family has a quiet Christmas too. My grandmother, two cousins, and aunt and uncle come over for the day after Christmas, and actually on Christmas it's just my sister, myself, and my parents.
