We know from God's Word, the Bible that death is like being in a deep sleep without dreams. The dead are incapable of speaking, thinking or hearing. Jehovah God, because of his deep love for his creation, will soon grant his beloved Son Jesus, the authority to resurrect all those in his Father's perfect memory, back to life. What a loving provision. Death is our enemy, but thanks to Jehovah and his Son, that enemy will soon be done away with.
There will be no more pain, sorrow or death in Jehovahs righteous new world, where all things will be made new. When the meek ones inherit this earth, they will have the opportunity to live forever in total peace and security for war will be no more.

“If an able-bodied man dies can he live again?”—JOB 14:14. that was a question Job himself asked. emmediate life after death? No, in the bible in Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10 says "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun" This means that when you die you are concious of nothing at all, you are in a deep sleep. so what happens after that deep sleep? when will the dead awaken. The bible also speaks about resurrection of the rightous and the unrightous ones. Jesus speaking to martha in1 john John 11:25 25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life. so we know that once you die thats not the end.. there will be a ressurection. and thats better then living in an after life without your family members. :)

Well they believe in a resurrection if thats what ya mean? Life after death is actually a false concept. Its like saying is there sound after silence? Is there a building standing tall and solid after demolition? Is the book you have on your desk unread after reading it? These questions are nonsensical because once you blow up a building, of course its not still standing there and of course once you've read a book its not unread. Once you die, you're dead. Life after death makes no sense.

Not immediately.

We believe the dead are "asleep" in the grave until they are brought back to life.

This is referenced many times throughout the Bible:

"Your dead ones will live. A corpse of mine—they will rise up. Awake and cry out joyfully, you residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of mallows, and the earth itself will let even those impotent in death drop in birth." - Isaiah 26:19.

"And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence." - Daniel 12:2.

"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." - John 5:28, 29.

"I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." - Acts 24:15.

"And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds." - Revelation 20:13.

If I'm not mistaken, they seem to think that they're the 144,000, male jewish virgin men referenced in Revelation, and the only ones to go to heaven. This, of course, is illogical, as they're neither all virgin males nor Jewish, but their illustrious leaders have convinced them that this scripture is talking about them. I would suggest they actually read the specific passage to understand that the 144,000 are the ones who will spread the word during the tribulation, that they are specifically described as being male, Jewish virgins, and that Jehova Witnesses do not fit into those categories in the least.

All religions sell a second chance at life. That's what gives them appeal and brings in the money. Without that people would say, "Ho- Hum".
