a lot of times animal testing does not necessarily involve using the tested product on the animal for its normal use. have you ever wondered how exactly they know why certain chemicals or products cause blindness? for instance women's mascara (in case your a man, it's that black make-up that women put on their eyelashes). researchers smear large amounts of mascara in an animals eye to ensure that it is not threatening to vision in the event that a woman jabs herself in the eye with an applicator (they do this to test a number of possible consequences)

Sometimes we forget what is important and which is vanity. For example, I would disagree with putting animals through pain testing nail varnish remover. I don't think hurting other animals so we don't end up with chipped nail polish on our fingers is morally acceptable. On the other hand, if a few rats or even a few hundred rats die in the quest for a cure for cancer, then surely that is beneficial.

As to the argument "how can we do this to defenceless animals" - yeah, it's not ideal. But it has to be tested, otherwise you don't get the products out (no company would dare). And most people aren't going to be too worried about the fate of a few dozen animals if a cure is found for AIDS. So, unless you're offering to take their place, you'll never find widespread support for that argument

If you are in favor of animal testing, have you seen how animals are tested. You want to cure cancer, HIV, arthritis ? Fine. How about treating animals humanely? As with everything, there are right ways and wrong ways of doing them. And there are better and worse ways, too. If diseases can be cured by research methods other than animal testing, what's wrong with that?
And what's wrong with promoting it? It's not an either/or, us or the animals.
Have you looked at some of the web sites below? Believe them or don't. But give yourself the opportunity to have tried to understand all sides of the issues.

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are like us.' Ask the experimenters why it is morally OK to experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are not like us.' Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction."
-Professor Charles R. Magel

Age: 19. Gender: Female. Education: Uni. Occupation: Student. Not running proper now. #one million. Do you consider that animal checking out protects us from damage? No. I do not. How are you able to probably understand how a human will react via checking out treatment or some thing on mice, rats or monkeys? You can not! Just for the reason that some thing might support a mouse, it might do not anything for us or worse. Nothing if you want to be bought to or furnished to folks by myself must be proven on animals for the reason that we're extraordinary creatures, results WILL be extraordinary and the animal suffers. #two. Do you compromise or disagree with animal checking out. If so why? I disagree. What I stated above. #three. Do you consider that choices to animal checking out must be observed? Absolutely. Plenty of folks are inclined to threat themselves to avoid wasting an animal. I could haven't any challenge checking out makeup or cosmetic merchandise on myself. If I had been unwell (melanoma for instance) I do not need a challenge being handled. Hey, it might keep my lifestyles and lots of different folks!

Because sometimes the testing is fatal for the animals and it's concidered cruelty , also some drugs effect animals differently than humans , so it could harm them but be fine for us , you never know , and yes sometimes it is bettere than endangering humans lives , depends on the situation
