i'll try not to be long...
i started back on the pill after i had my son. i was breastfeeding for a while, but i have since stopped to go back to work.
i didn't get my period during the placebo week, last week. i don't think i'm pregnant, but i AM wondering if your periods were out of sync after you had your baby.

thanks!

Yup. Your body goes through so many changes after childbirth, that irregularity in everything is normal.
I do agree, maybe you went back on the pill too soon. A wise decision since you are most fertile 6 weeks AFTER you give birth.
Ask you OB doc and hang in there, it will get normal again...in about 18 years. ~joni

Whack Your Baby

Oh yes, and 18 months later, they still are out of whack. They're about 10 days long and start with about 4 days of spotting and then 6 of a "regular" period. Just lovely how our bodies are after bearing children, but it's worth it :)

After my last baby (he's 20) my periods were wacko. I was having them every two weeks. That's when they put me on the pill - gee, I've been on the pill for over 20 years - my periods are like clockwork until recently but that's for a different reason. ;)

Breastfeeding will delay the menstrual cycle. I breastfeed my children for and got the depo shot so I didn't menstruate for for almost a year after delivery. Talk to your doc. Mine was not concerned about it at all. She said that it was not unusual.

Sounds like you went on the pill BEFORE your body was done with pregnancy hormones. Therefore confusing the whole system.
