Hair Color?

I'm tired of paying outrageous amounts of money to get my hair colored every month or so. Has anyone had success at coloring their hair at home and which brand do you recommend. I'm scared of over drying and damaging my hair and that's why I've always gone to a salon to get my hair colored. Any suggestions or ideas?

One thing you can do is see if there is a cosmetology school in your area, if so they have discounted rates because they have to have so many hours before they can get their license.

I personally dye my hair at home. Loreal Preference is really good, actually all of the Loreal's I have tried have been good, They come with a conditioner that is great.
