I cant breath well, my nose is always blocked, I cant sleep well and my doctor gave me anti-histamine tablets and an inhaler, but they dont work that well. Do you have any NATURAL remedies or home remedies that have worked for you?? Also, is it true that having so many allergies makes it difficult to lose weight, even if you eat healthily and exercise??

Try taking one-two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, with meals, i know it tastes horrible, but its said to help with a blocked nose and allergies and also they say that it helps people with weight problems. When you will be able to breathe better, you will sleep better too and have more energy. Also try manuka honey, they say it helps with allergies.

Hi there, I'm also in the same boat :-)

Sometimes it takes ages to realise what you're allergic to. Many people are allergic to dairy, pollen, e-numbers, nuts, mites, gluten etc.

Lay off dairy and meat (both contain hormones, not good for you), eat lots of fresh fruit and veg (make them the base for your diet NOT a small part of your diet) and drink a lot of water. Keep your bed linen clean, and keep a diary of your actions, foods and feelings to see if you can find a trend.

Some allergies will leave you feeling sluggish and bloated. Try going on a vegan diet or a raw food diet either as a detox or permanently to see if you feel any better.

I spent most of my teens addicted to anti-histamines to control my (very serious) heriditary allergies. I went vegan, and the times they do come back, I know it's because of a bad e-number I have consumed, so I have gained a massive element of control. I haven't had an anti-histamine tablet in absolutely years.

If your looking for a natural cure try bee pollen. Eat the raw stuff it works better. I put a teaspoonful in a banana milk shake twice a day because it can be a little chalky tasting. I get it from http://www.beeroyalproducts.com . They have the freshest available and also it comes in a glass jar to preserve freshness (also my wife likes the glass jars to decorate with). I've been virtually allergy free for two years now. It does take almost a full year before you feel the full affect although you will see some relief in a month or so. It has worked so well for me I've become sort of a bee pollen pusher.

I use the home remedy of Vicks Vapo Rub in steamy water. Breathe the steam (hot showers work too). Attempt to breathe through your nose. This will help loosen the mucous so you can get it out. I have about a million allergies and suffer like you do at times. Another good help is a hot cup of coffee. It helps dilate your bronchi and helps you breathe better. I hate taking pills too and only use my antihistamines at the peak of my allergy season. Good luck!

I have allergies too, and all the pills in the world and allergy shots don't stop mine. I have found that saline nasal spray helps for a while. Some say Bee Pollen tablets from health food stores really help a lot too.

Supposedly a natural aid to some plant allergies is consuming honey originating from you local area.

I have the same problem. Finally my doc perscribed zyrtec and singulair. I take them two once a day. Believe me they are the closest thing to being happy. I had tried allegra, claritin blah blah blah. None of them work until this combo.

Now, once in a while you might have an episode sneak thru but not like before an everyday thing!

You might want to also check the allegry shots!

hey Blue angel. You and I look similar hey? do you look like your avatar in real life? Cuz If you do, then we could be twins! Oh and about your allegies, shame man, that really sux. My really close friend gets like you do and she also takes anti'histamine tablets but they seem to sort her out. The only suggestion from me is: Prayer, beleive me, it works, have faith in God and Trust in him, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" - 1 Peter 5:7. Godbless angel.

Sometimes we thought that those were allergies, but the truth is not. Maybe we were not just used to it. That's why there are lots of reactions in our body. Try not to do anything to those, maybe you just need to exposed to those kinds of things.
