I also have a 12 year old nephew..very hard to buy for...The best gift I have found would be a gift card to his favorite music store. Last year I bought him a CD and he already had it the gift card was much better...Good Luck!

Your local video store will likely sell slightly used DVD's and games for under $10 (at our local one they are $7.95) and many offer a 30 day money back guarantee. 12 year old boys don't care that it is not "new" in plastic, only that it is new to them and it fits with their interests.

Most 12 year olds are into games by a gift card for game stop.or whatever game store is in your area.
