not sure what studies you're refering to.... personally I like a gift that has some thought put into it. doesnt necessarily have to be hand made but for some reason hand made gifts do usually end up being more thoughtful than store bought ones.

altho..beware, I have been given some lame as$ hand made gifts that just seemed cheap (a best friend "made"me a jewellery box out of polystirein!!! and she actually thought it was beautiful - I had to pretend it was great - I deserve an oscar!!! :)

personally, i like hand made gifts more. they're more from the heart, you know what i mean? a store bought gift is nice, but theres more thought that comes from a hand made gift.

I don't know about studies, but personnaly I think it depends on the present.
You can give a great handmade present, or a crappy one. And a store bough present can have a lot of meaning.
So I don't think you can generalize it.
What matters is that you go with your heart.

I favor handcrafted presents. My buddies and that i are inventive varieties, it truly is continuously thrilling to work out what we make one yet another. I also don't like at the same time as my buddies spend vast funds on me. i'd favor they pay their costs than get me a sparkling on line activity. I hate merely getting funds. To me it appears like they couldn't be afflicted to imagine what to get me. (distant kin participants it is fantastic, yet close buddies and kin, nuh-uh!)

not necessarily, a gift signifies that you were thinking of this person when they were not around and took the time to get them something you thought they'd like.
