The Bible doesn't answer all our questions about life after death—but it does tell us very clearly that that when we die we go immediately into the presence of the Lord if we know Christ. Paul's great hope was "to be away from the body and at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8).

How is this possible? It's possible for one reason: Jesus Christ paid the full penalty for our sins. You see, when He died on the cross, all of our sins—not some of them, but all of them—were transferred to Him. He was sinless, but He willingly took the punishment you and I deserve. The Bible puts it this way: "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Let me illustrate it this way. Suppose you went to the bank and borrowed a large sum of money to buy a house. As long as you owed that debt, the house wouldn't really be yours, and you'd have to keep on paying. But then suppose someone came along and paid off your debt. Would you keep on making payments to the bank? No, of course not—because the debt had already been cancelled.

In a far greater way, we are all guilty before God, and our sins have created a debt to Him we can never repay—never. But listen: Jesus Christ has already paid it—completely and fully! The debt has been cancelled! Why fear death any longer? Instead, put your faith and trust in Christ today.

1. "Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty."

2. "As to the question whether the souls will recognize each other in the spiritual world: this fact is certain; for the Kingdom is the world of vision where all the concealed realities will become disclosed. How much more the well-known souls will become manifest. The mysteries of which man is heedless in this earthly world, those he will discover in the heavenly world, and there will he be informed of the secret of truth; how much more will he recognize or discover persons with whom he hath been associated. Undoubtedly, the holy souls who find a pure eye and are favored with insight will, in the kingdom of lights, be acquainted with all mysteries, and will seek the bounty of witnessing the reality of every great soul. Even they will manifestly behold the Beauty of God in that world."

3. "... a love that one may have entertained for any one will not be forgotten in the world of the Kingdom. Likewise, thou wilt not forget (there) the life that thou hast had in the material world."

The body does not go to heaven because it goes back to the dust it was once created. Also the soul is the power of life that allows us to live. It does not rome around after you die, it is returned to God.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 tells us, "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it."

There is no such thing in the Bible as a human spirit that has conscious existence.

Ps. 146:4 - his spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.

After Adam and Eve had sinned against God,Jehovah said to them, the words we find recorded at Gen.3:19:"....until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return." and
Eccl.9:5 tells us:"For the living are conscious that they will die,but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all."
And then there is the account of the death of Jesus' good friend Lazarus found at John11:11-14.There Jesus said to his disciples:"Lazarus, our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep".Therefore the disciples said to him:"Lord,if he has gone to rest,he will get well"Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. At that time, therefore Jesus said to them outspokenly:"Lazarus has died".
Just from these three examples we can see that death is likened to a state of non-existence,a deep sleep where we are aware of nothing at all.We do however remain in God's memory and Acts 24:15 assures us that there will be a "resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous"Whereby all those obedient to Jehovah will have the prospect of eternal life on a paradise earth.

I believe, If you are saved you go to an eternal life in Heaven and will be rewarded according to how obedient you were to God in your life time. If you are not saved you will first answer for every sin you have ever committed then you will be cast into Hell for all eternity.

when we die, we will go after our karma.
if we perform good deeds, we will be reborn as celestial beings or human beings.
if we do evil deeds, we will fall into three lower worlds: animals, hungry ghosts and hell.
