Who screams? Anyway, I never pour ketchup on my meatloaf, I always mix tomato paste along with the spices directly in with the meat and onions and paprika.
I bake mine on 350 F. or 175 C. for about an hour if it's a pound and a half of meat.

I can say I don't like ketchup on my meatloaf either, but my husband does. So I usually just put it on half of the meatloaf and make everybody happy. I usually cook mine around 350.

Do you not have an automatic oven that you can set to turn on at a time to have the loaf cooked by the time you get home?

400 degrees for first 1/2 hour then the rest on 350.
