When its not cool: When you're around food, because I don't want any loose body hair in food.
When I've got guests over, because they're not going to a strip club.
Its ok to come out of your room w/o a shirt and walk around, but don't take off your shirt in front of me when its a normal day just to flaunt your man-boobs.
When you're going to sit on furniture that mainly I use, please put a shirt on.
Otherwise, its ok to go around shirtless. Psh, as long as you don't mind me doing it too.

It should be ok since you live there and pay rent too. I honestly never want to see my roommate shirtless but I don't feel it's my place to tell him to put a shirt on. I don't want to be looking at his nipples when I'm eating a sandwich. I'm grossed out by him but that's my problem, not his. If he was constantly walking around in his boxers all day long, I'd eventually tell him to put some pants on but I wouldn't bother him about wearing a shirt. I can always leave the room if I don't want to look at him.

I used to live with college friends. 4 gals, 3 male gays, and 2 straight guys. We all had mutual respect with each other. The guys don't bicker on the gays so with us girls don't bicker on the guys and gays. It was fun and beautiful home I would say.
Guys going aound the house shirts off was no problem. It was automatic that when there are visitors like family, suitors of the girls that they show decency by wearing a shirt. Never was there a point too that they wore boxers around, they even would be the first one's to frown that the girls shirts were getting short ... :) protective and respectful was i thought of them...and they are until now when we all meet up.

I can't think of a better way to start my day, esp if I am female or gay.
I am 28, F and newly remarried. The only time I can think of where a shirt off may not be appropriate is at church or some religous ceremony. Now, pants off, that is a completely different question.
Those who throw a tantrum about it are just jealous cuz they can't have you, or cuz they don't have your goods.
However, if ur a little on the "more to love" side, it might gross a person out.

Having noticed the ladies are answering a guy a question about how another guy would feel about him being shirtless lets go for different insight. Dude, keep your shirt on unless you've just gotten out of the shower and are about to get dressed, or have just been interrupted en coitus and are kicking the crap out of your roommate for it. Guys don't need to see other guys manmalia. So no lounging about and tweaking the nipples in front of the roommate.

okay, first of all it would seem that your roommate is female. In that case, it is never appropriate to go shirtless. Hey, if you dont like it, you could get your own place. Women, who room with a guy for financial reasons need that boundary of appropriateness. You may not understand that it actually makes her uncomfortable because it forces her to succumb to the fact that she doesnt have a friend but a man! You wont need my a/s, or other details. The truth is more palatable.

I in many cases have human beings lease out my more beneficial bedroom in substitute for assisting out with costs. the pro's are i'm getting further funds, the con's are I even could freshen up after them and cope with all the costs myself. i do not ideas the con's.. i'm more beneficial in touch in funds :) to ascertain that my roommate's do not p*** me off.. I set out the guidelines merely before time (pay your costs on time no count what and do not are available my room if the door is closed and so on). the significant element is that you already know one yet another. by technique of being pleasant with them.. that is amazingly not likely they're going to attempt to screw you. The smart area of do is what I did.. i have leased my apt considering that 12/05 and that i'm now no longer on a freelance. From the beginnng I actually have kept a minimum of one million roommate (my fiance). by technique of doing this you may "administration the significant different and little ones", so then you actually will income more beneficial appreciate!

I don't think that it matters when you have your shirt off, If someone is that uncomfortable then they shouldn't be living with someone anyway. I am 21/female. And I used to have 2 guy roommates neither of which I was dating or sleeping with (lol) and they had their shirts off all the time! No biggy!

I'm a 32 year-old female, and I've lived with male roommates before. It wouldn't bother me at all, so long as you didn't cough up snot in the shower (and leave it), or trim facial hair over the sink (and leave it).
The world has bigger problems than guys running around without shirts.
