Hmm, I was just curious about this im not planning on having one for any crime related issues but I recently burnt my finger with a packet of matches(the whole packet went up on my thumb) and my finger went all fat and lumpy kinda looked distorted any ideas?

You can do a number of things to deform the tips of your fingers in such a way that it will change/destroy the finger print. Last I checked, most criminals still choose to wear gloves.

The only way I can think of is to have your fingers amputated. I doubt if you would want to do that.
You have the same fingerprints for life. John Dillinger (famous criminal of the 20's and 30's) tried to have his fingerprints removed and they grew back. The only people who made anything on that deal were the plastic surgeons.

Well they would probably test a different finger. I mean you do have 4 others after all, and then 5 others on the other hand.

Some people, in order to escape the finger print test, burn the tips of their fingers. Serious! Apart from that, I am not sure how to escape such test.

I saw once at a Jean Claude Van Damme that he cut one of his fingertips off so that he could be checked where he was held prisioner (In that movie Double Team with Denis Rodman!) but I guess this must be soooo painful!!!

Cheat? Not really. Burns on both hands would temporarily make you hard t print, but, with a burn that deep, you wouldn't be able to use your hands until they healed anyway.

Even though it was burnt it still has a unique pattern. Nobody else will have that pattern too. They can and will still print it.

cheat...well theres fake gel inserts you could use but really they will still be able to use ur fingerprint the way it is...
