well i was sitting in my business class and well i was being a note passer and well one of his friends (cesar) said "hey melissa pass this to trevor" so i did and well his other friend (hannah) said "r u two going out?" i shook my head no while trevor had a disapointed look on his face. and then she says like right after "he wishs that he could" and well he shakes his ya with the same look on his face. well idk wheather to believe him or not but b4 this even happend he has been like looking at me asking me dumb questions like "wats the answer in #3" or w/e. so should i believe him? or not? ok well b4 this cesar asked to borow my phone so i let him and well he starts to text some1 and im like "ok who u txting?" and he said "my friend" and so i let him carry on so then he gives me back my phone and well i checked wat he sent and well he put 'i luv u trevor!!!' and well then comes lunch so im standing in line and well some1 tapps me on the sholder and i turned around and its trevor. so..

it sounds like he might be interested. Boys don't usually go to that much trouble unless they are. Tell him to get the guts to either ask you out, or to back off. If you're wanting him to, that is.

jeez, that's a toughy!
I went through something really similar before, too.
I was sitting in religion class and the class clown used to always tease me and make fun and flirt and stuff. I NEVER knew what he was getting at or if he was ever serious!
One day, in front of the whole class, he asked me to Homecoming and I just gave him this look like, "are you serious?". He got SO mad and acted so hurt! I was surprised by his reaction.
Anyway, my next period was choir and the girl sitting next to me said that this very same guy had just asked her to Homecoming, so I was wondering if he'd been playing around with me or if he really was serious.
I never found out!

I have been in this situation before. The guy (Larry) was only joking. He did it on purpose to make me look stupid in front of eveybody. Just listen to your heart. Remember that no matter what happens you will get over it as time goes on. I wish you the best of luck.

Well maybe you should give him a chance he might not know how to tell you he likes you. Most males are like that i have this one friend i went out with and he swears he doesnt like me, he was always mean to me and now he is my best friend, it is kind of like your story but everyone knows he likes me and he totally denies it. So maybe he really does like you. Just give him that one chance and if he is asking you out to be funny get him back twice as hard or just email me and i can help you out. i wouldn't usually but it seems like he really likes you ask him if he would like to hang out with you, to see what he is like when he's alone with you, if i were you i would ask him straight up but you said he is the class clown so that could be stupid, but the signs all point to some attraction don't they? so go for it, go crazy!!!!!!
