I'm not a big fan of Sunset Blvd. Maybe because I live here and it is so conjested. However, there are some really good restaurants. If you guys like Japanese food or Sushi, go to Miyagi's (on Sunset). The food, drinks, and atmosphere. On certain nights they have a live DJ. You also might want to check out Venice Beach (you'll see some of everything there), Universal Citywalk, Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive, and Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade. If you guys are into amusement parks there is always Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and Magic Mountain (all roller coasters). There's so much to do in LA.
Bring a warm jacket because it is now really cold at night. The daytime you should be fine with a light sweater or jacket.
I hope you guys enjoy yourselves. Have fun!

If you don't have a car and need to use public Transportation here is a mp of LA's subway. When you get to the subway stations they have maps there of the things to do within walking distance.
You can cover al ot of ground and see a lot of things all over LA. If your here for a while you can take the train from union station and go up the coast and see Santa Barbara.

Sunset is fun for visitors. Don't fall for the scams though. Be leery of ANYTHING that sounds like they are giving something to you. Go to the Comedy clubs.
Personally, having lived there, I like to go to Huntington Beach and just relax and eat at the resturants. I like Lake Arrowhead, I lived there as well. Stay in one of the Inns or bed and breakfasts up at 6,000 ft. It's quiet and you can make it your little get-away. You can snowboard and go to the beach all in one day. If you go to Seal Beach you'll find that "American Wedding" was fooling everyone about the weather in CA. It's cold as hell. People don't walk and ride around in bikinis. It IS a quaint little town and the food and fun is very good.
