I was going to say dozens probably and recommend a website, but Patricia G seems to have it sorted.
There are so many delicious cheese from the UK, and so varied according to region too.
My grandmother was from North Wales and always had Wensleydale in the house. I loved it even as a small child from London.
If you get the chance to have some real cheddar, not supermarket mousetrap stuff, then you'll know that you've had some cheese.
I lived in Gloucester for some years and "The Cheeserollers" was pub where, in the older days behind the pub, large Gloucester or Double Gloucester cheeses were rolled and chased by the (youths) locals down a very steep escarpment once a year. "Cheeserollers" run is still held each year although the cheeses have been replaced by wooden replicas, and some quite nasty injuries have resulted too. Well, when you've got beer, youthful exuberance and girls to impress what do you expect. I'd do it!
