Being born again transformed you into someone who didn't exist before. What you receive as a Christian isn't the point; it's who you are. It's not what you do as a Christian that determines who you are; it's who you are that determines what you do (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Peter 2:9, 10; 1 John 3:1, 2).

That's cool and all, but most of the Christians I meet are some of the worst people on the face of this earth.

This concept of change is called sanctification. It begins with the dramatic change of becoming saved/born-again/a Christian. Our sinfulness did not disappear at that point, but we are gradually being conformed to being like Jesus Christ. We will not know perfection in this life. Those who expect to see that in this life are mistaken. However, our active part in the sanctification process calls for us to strive to be Christ-like each day. That is positive change worth striving for.

Change is not easy, to be Christlike is a goal but we all struggle to get even close. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationshoip with Jesus, the way of life. Paul is talking about how to become a Christian and what it is about. Half brother of Jesus is telling what is expected of you once you already are Christian.

When you believe in a God you have 2 rules to abide by:
1. Must believe in that god and none other.
2. Must put urself to him in servitude.
And that about sums all of the religions for ya (apart from satan worshippers)
