Introversion is not a disease and it needs no cure. It's simply a personality trait. Like all personality traits, it can be changed with a little practice.

The problem is thinking that introversion is a problem which needs to be changed. Who says that being outgoing and showy is the best way to be? Introverted people are usually nicer and better friends than extroverts who have lots of friends and dont really care about them individually. You do have the skills to be extroverted if you so choose - they are simply skills that you are unpracticed at and therefore a bit scared of. Start with babysteps- talk to a cashier at a store or spend a day or two shopping completely alone - you'll pick up a few things and keep building on that.

Adaptation to an extrovert-oriented world is possible, with planning and practice.
One "cure" is to realise that introversion is not necessarily "wrong" at all. You don''t have to buy into the majority way of doing things, just because that's what it is.
If you want to be more outgoing build on your strengths, where you already have confidence: hobbies, work skills... Expand social contact and practice from there. Add-in the current fashions, modes of speech and behaviour only if they increase your comfort. People "aping" the fashionable set but not being themselves tend to get spotted easily.
Me, I'd chip in to a fund to cure the excessively extrovert.
