A fulfillment, contentment that brings about calm, peace, confidence. The ability to accept myself and others for who they are and what they believe and to know that there can always be more than one opinion and that no one needs or has to accept mine. Full acceptance that if I died tomorrow, I'd regret nothing and would truly rest in peace.

Serenity is just being content and at peace with everything. I don't always posses it, only sometimes is it mine to cherish.

To me it means keeping an even keel no matter what is occurring in your life. Being unflappable in times of crises, not being extremely joyous, or being deeply depressed. It's what I like to call "being somewhere in the middle".
