Took me ages to work this out, but I've got it!
It's the middle names of the last few Presidents of the United States in reverse order! Couldn't find the full names for all of them, but I got first name, middle initial, and surname, which is all you need:
George W Bush
William Jefferson Clinton
George Herbert Walker Bush
Ronald Wilson Reagan
James (Jimmy) Earl Carter
Gerald R Ford
Richard M Nixon
Lyndon B Johnson
So the next one is:
F - as in John F Kennedy (stands for Fitzgerald)
and the one after (just to be clever!) is:
D - for Dwight D Eisenhower
Whoever gave you that one to work out is sadistic! Hope that helps!
