During the plague, they blamed tolerance of Jews for their sickness and burned them at the stake. During WWII, they again blamed tolerance of Jews for the collapse of the German economy. More recently, they've blamed gays for the 9/11 attacks and huricanes. How whacky are these people?

Part of the problem is that, even in trying to combat the problem, people tend to exacerbate it.

That's because the problem is group generalizatons. People who say 'why do Christians...' or 'why do Muslims...' or 'why do Jews...' or 'why do talk show hosts...' effectively ensure that even people who are NOT committing these acts will, instead of questioning their identity, only more strongly identify with it. That is because since they themselves are not participating in such acts (or if they do, they do not see it) they see the generalization as being ultimately false, and therefore as an attack.

A true Christian, a true follower of Christ, does not blame, does not scold, does not judge, does not hold back or deny love or forgiveness. But, as with any group, there will always be people for whom the teachings are obscured or misunderstood.

One cannot solve the problems of groups by condemning the behavior of the group as a whole. Like an apple tree, each apple must be examined on its own, to discern whether or not it is spoilt. All trees give shade, but not all fruits give nourishment.

Why are you acting so prejudice against Christians?

Hitler was absolutely not a Christian and by the way we blame Muslim Fundamentalists for 9/11 thank you very much and if you really looked at what Islamic fundies stand for you would find they are the whacky ones.

You're talking about the fanatics. And yes, they're pretty whacky. Since they believe in God so fanatically they think that these events are brough upon us by God because we are not following his teachings. They have to justify why God would let this happen to us. The majority of Christians would never dream of making these statements.

As you can see Christians think they're judgment is better than God's. That's makes their butchering of others God's will in they're wacky world. They are among the worst for using their religion to justify murder and then quickly forgiving themselves. The ones they butcher don't get such forgiveness.

James 1

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires. 15 Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death.20 For human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.27 Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
