I hate answering these questions because I get the feeling that the person asking it is so dumb that they won't understand my answer! Anyway, NO, I don't think Israel should get out of the Middle East because they were there first and they belong there! Go and kick the arabs out! What, are you afraid that their muslim brothers in countries all over the world won't let them in? Well it's true-they won't! Because that's what their 'brotherly love' is! They won't even let their brothers in! They kill each other as a matter of fact! And you still believe that there will be peace in the Middle East if Israel get out?! HAHA! Use your head man! That ain't gona happen!!!!

Firstly, I second the answers put forth by tech and blue P. That is very true on both of your counts, congratulations on finally reaching the light. Know that this a country of the ancient chosen people and IS NOT "palestine". We need to respect the fact that Jews were living in Israel about 2,500 years before Islam was invented and caused the arabs to move out of the arabian peninsula. And throughout history, there were always, i repeat, always Jews living in Israel. There may have been times through Turkish and Mameluk Islamic rule of the area that Jews became a minority in population, but this has not been the case for a majority of history. However, Jews have consistently been a majority in the City of Jerusalem. We should respect the fact that only the Jews have fought so hard to keep Jerusalem and this whole land throught their long and often bitter history. They still fight to survive today. You might think that we should give the "palestinians" a country right? thats what i once thought. There are no palestinians though; Most of them are people who in the various arab-Israeli wars were absorbed into Israel's borders from Jordan and Egypt. The so called "original ones" were expected to be partners of Israel in the U.N. partition plan of 1947. The Jews agreed to a two state solution, the Arabs DID NOT. they didnt care if they didnt get their country, as long as there wouldnt be a Jewish one. And to the so called "ethnic cleansing" of the 1948 war, Israel warned the arabs within her borders about being caught in the crossfire. The arabs, instead of heeding Israel's warning, proceeded to join the 7 arab armies and attacked Jewish cities within Israel's borders. Nevertheless, all the arabs were defeated in the end, but it was the "palestinians" who ruined the first step for peace. As ALWAYS, the arabs are always the ones to screw it up, they violate the cease-fires, the treaties, all of it.
Israel is an amazing country, that we all have to learn from. Israel has incredible minds in physics, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. Israel publishes the most scientific papers per capita than any country in the world. Many revolutionary ideas in science and technology have come from Israel. Clearly, the Israelis and Judaism have offered much, much more to the world than the arabs and Islam. Arabs are jealous of their obviously inferior culture, which produces nothing but violence and terror, and they use this inferiority complex as a proxy for attacking Israel any chance they can.
Sympathy regarding this volatile religion always goes out to the "poor refugee arabs" and the "victims of the occupation". Perhaps one day the world will open their eyes and see that it isnt what it seems and Israel is the good guy. I mean come on, someone goes out to bomb a terrorist's house, do they call the family to tell them to get out? The Israelis are too nice. They are too goddamned soft with the arabs, and its because the world allows it.
So to conclude, ISRAEL LEAVES THE MIDDLE EAST IN PEACE< ITS THE ARABS WHO DO NOT. SO WHY DONTTHE ARABS GET THE HELL BACK TO THE ARABIAN PENINSULA WHERE THEY CAME FROM AND LEAVE THE ISRAELIS ALONE, WHOSE LAND RIGHTFULLY AND HISTORICALLY BELONGS TO THEM AND THEIR RELIGION.
We must apologize for the crimes committed to the Jews and Israel and recognize their right to live, it is THEIR land and the world has forgotten that fact. We should be ashamed.

Your not talking about Israel. Your talking about removing anyone that is not muslim or more to the point, the Jews.
The idea of no Jews bringing peace to the middle east is absurd because the first thing that would happen would be a war between the palestinians and Jordan and probally Syria since both countries lay claim to Israel.
We would then see the word "palestinian" wiped out from any middle eastern terminology.

Wait a minute! We're taking sides so fast and fighting already! And first of all David is also an Arab name, Daoud. I think Yahoo!Answers readers should read The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Ilan Pape and The Gun and the Olive Branch. Basically for over 50 years there have been plans to push the Palestinians out of their homeland. Israel continues to steal more and more of the Palestinians' land and make war with the neighbors (Egypt now has a peace treaty with Israel but a while ago Israel stole the Sinai Peninsula, and of course wars with Lebanon where in both cases Lebanon proved strong....). And its not about being against Jews! I have lots of Jewish friends. Actually my best friend is a Jew. And I have Muslim and Christian friends.
I lived in Palestine several years ago and I miss it a lot. The situation keeps getting worse. Israel created a wall that makes it hard for Palestinians to even get on with their daily life. The problem is that Americans are uneducated about the subject and do not know enought to stand up for what is right. Try reading the books stated above. Thanks,

And pull their country apart from the rest of the Middle East? Hmmmm...that does sound like a good idea. Coz then the Israelis could finally get some peace! And I HAVE to agree with TECHX...why don't the palestinians stop acting like monkeys? They're constantly seeking peace, but everytime someone negotiates something about peace, the Palestinians start going ape again!

Unfortunately it doesn't seem many of the answers you are receiving are attempting a well balanced answer to your question. The establishment of the state of Israel is another untidy hangover of British colonialism, however whether it was right or not is neither here nor there, it happened, and now there are plenty of Jewish people born and bred there who have the right to think of it as home. Nothing is going to change that situation, the Israeli government and the Palestinian (democratically elected) government need to try and find a way to coexist peacefully. However I'd say that Israel really need to continue removing Israelis from the Occupied Territories, this is an illegal occupation and its continuance can only harm attempts at peace.

There is no way an entire population of a country is going to "get the hell out" of anywhere. That is what the Israelis have been trying to persuade via violent force for the Palestinians to do, not gonna happen. The key to peace in the region is mutual respect for each others heritage and lives.

Even if the State of Israel weren't established in its present location, MidEast muslims would still find some other issues to fight and kill for - it is their way of life since time immemorial. Israel is there for eternity; the faster their enemies accept that fact, the better their lot.

Schmuck!!!! There is no fighting in Israel at this time. Jews don't fight Jews, only Arabs. Look at the peace in Iraq. Muslims killing Muslims. Do you call this peace in the middle east? Hezbollah is pushing very hard in Lebanon and want to take over the country's government. Syria feeds arms to Hezbollah and to the insurgents in Iraq as does Iran. You call this peace? Israel is surrounded by a bunch of Arab killers.
