Judaism is the oldest. It's origins are a couple thousand BC by some estimates.

Christianity is loosely based on Judaism. It started sometime in the first few decades AD. However, it really didn't gain a real footing until the 300's when Constantine made it a state religion.

Islam is the newest of the three. It is loosely founded in Judaism and Christianity, but considers those religions to have been corrupted. It started around 600 AD.

Judaism is the oldest. Christianity came from Judaism. Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism from Old testament to the New Testament. The first Christian were all Jews including of curse Jesus. Islam is the latest. It is a mixture of Judaism, Christianity and ancient Arabian paganism.

Judaism started it - Gods People. Then Abraham had a son called Ishmael to the maid and a son called Issac to his wife. The descendants of Ishmael are basically how Islam got started. The Jews continued on down Isaac's line. They rejected Jesus when He came and God opened the gates to the world and the ones who have accepted him are the Christians. Christians do not stem from any particular branch but are what you would call sinners that have accepted Jesus.

Islam means literally "submission to God". In that literal sense of the word all three religions are Islam. They all stem from revelations that the same God has given mankind.

Politically the three religions exist as an overlay on that principal. When Moses (as) was alive there was no "Judaism" it became being called that later on. Similarly when Jesus (as) was alive there was no "Christianity".

But historically speaking Judaism grew up around the scriptures first, then Christianity and then what we now call Islam.

However it does not change the fact that all three are revelations of the same God.

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Imam Salim

Judaism is oldest, Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism.

While Islam copied some elements from Christianity and Judaism the Islamic god Allah is not the same as Yahweh (Jehovah) God that Christians and Jews believe in.

Allah is in fact a moon god who was head of many gods in a pagan pre-Islam religion that existed in Arabia before Muhammed came along and intermingled idealogies from this pagan religion with Christian and Jewish idealogies.
