yeah i always get confused with that to. christianity claims to be a monotheistic religion and yet they have three holy dietys. the father god the son jesus and the holy spirit. so which is it people do you have one god or two or three. because some of them say that jesus was god who came to live on earth as a man so after that you got two gods????? you want to know what it sounds like to me. it really sounds alot like my religion. i mean im pagan and we have three gods we have spirit witch is in all things then we ahve the lady who created all the univerce and then we have the lord who is the ladys companion. sounds really similar doesnt it.
so please christian explain yourself in any way you see fit. cuase i really dont see yourselfs getting out of this one reallty easily???

1 John 5:7 For there are three who bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus, the Son of God) and the Holy Spirit; and THESE THREE ARE ONE. Jesus is the Word that became flesh (John1:14). Matt 28:19 requires all disciples to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son(Jesus) and of the Holy Spirit. God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit are one. Jesus the Son of God is God.

Good question. God is Holy Spirit, Christ, Love, Life, Soul, etc. God is One. Christ is God’s Son and no part of God is material or flesh. Jesus was a man chosen by God, endowed with the Christ, and was given a mission, one that he could not disobey. The human side of Jesus cried out to have this cup removed from him, but the Christ within him guided him to “Thine will, not mine, be done.” Jesus had the power of God (the Son sees what the Father does), but the man Jesus was not God. In this age, we are of a different substance than what God creates with (God has spiritual ideas, not material), and so God used a human man, Jesus, to bring Christ to humanity in a form we could appreciate and understand. And we do understand the intense sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, so we could see which path to walk to find the door to God, or Christ. He said I am the door. Jesus personified the Christ. You could say the he was Jesus, the Christ, because he was. Christ was never apart from God while Jesus walked on this earth as Christ, for they are inseparable. God was with him.

It is stated, Jesus is the Prince of peace, a priest forever without genealogy, as is the King of Peace. Two different beings within that category. There is nothing to indicate God is a priest.. only that he is omniscient.
There appears to be a consistent hierarchy established.
It also seems like there is a constant inference made by some. Should the claim of Jesus being God have any validity, why would He state He will sit on His throne at the right hand of God.???? Overlooking certain of the scriptures does not exclude them from being valid!!.

I can understand your confusion. Some things of God are just too far beyond us to comprehend. I hope to explain it a bit to you so that it makes some kind of sense to you. No man can see God. For one thing it would terrify us, He is just to great, too perfect. He is so much higher than we can ever understand. However, God created you and loves you. He wants to be your Father and you to be his daughter/son. Because of this God,Himself came to this world in the form of a baby named Jesus and lived as a man to establish this relationship with us. Jesus, is someone we can relate too because He shared in our human sufferings and temptations. He just did not sin, because He is God. But He felt sadness, pain, hunger all the things you feel. So when a Christian prays it is through Jesus to the Father. I know it is a difficult concept but trusting in Jesus will lead you to the Father. It is a beautiful love story that you can be a part of in your life. I hope I have helped you a little. Trusting in Jesus will never disappoint you. God Bless and hope this causes you to have a little faith to seek the One who loves you the most. He promises to reward those who diligently seek Him. Look for God in the simple things in life. Through circumstances and other people you will often experience His love.

All religions are based on spiritual truths, but go their
way according to mans interpretations of things.
Jesus never claimed to be God. He just made one
cryptic statement about, "IF you have seen me, you
have seen the Father."
Maybe He meant IF people saw Him as He really is, a being of LIGHT, like at the Transfiguration on the mount, we might understand the nature of God. As God is a Spirit!
Jesus said many times that God was still "up there" while
He was "down here"!

Jesus is the Son of God the Father, and is himself the second person of the trinity. He both is the Son of God, and God himself.
"In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

Just curious, if he is the SON of god then worshiping him and making idols of him is definitely a sin right? Cause that would constitute another god. Also if Jesus is god and he voluntarily died on the cross what in fact did he do? God is not alive or dead therefore dying is a mute statement. It's kinda like ,"hey guys, check this out, I'm dead",*dies*,"nah just kidding, I'm really god and back better than ever." So in turn by saying that Jesus is god you are admitting that he gave nothing. God doesn't have a life (he existed before life as he created right?) to give especially if he is a trinity of beings. One more point is about the ten commandments. It says you shall not make idols of anything including heavenly beings, yet many people parade around a caricature of Jesus on a cross on themselves, is this not against the commandment? It seems pretty clear, you will not make idols of heavenly bodies. Thanks.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Careful analysis of scriptures reveales that Jesus is indeed the Jehovah of the OT. JESUS is the word and this word was with God and it was God. This can only make the Word and God one person. John 1 says all things were made by him referring to the Word and Genesis says God made the heavens and the earth making the Word and God one otherwise we can safely say the Bible contradicts itself.
Great is this mystery of the God-head as Paul says and Jesus is said to be the image of the invisible God. It therefore goes to show that He was God made flesh as the name Emmanuel implies.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
