Personally, I can't see the problem with visiting a massage parlour/escort, although an escort will not turn out to be the love of your life so don't shower her with gifts. Keep the transaction strictly business.
Sex always seems like a big deal if you've not experienced it but it's not the be all and end all. It's a shame that you've not met the right person yet, but you still could so don't give up hope. Besides, sex with a prostitute and sex with someone you love will be 2 very different experiences.
Maybe you need to start thinking about what you can change in your life in order to move forward. Try joining clubs, visiting different pubs. The best relationships evolve from friendships so concentrate on that first.

What is wrong with being a 29 year old virgin? Why do people these days think the have to inter the marriage bed used goods? You may very well meet that special woman. Don't continue with the escort! I guess the real question here is do you feel comfortable loosing your virginity to an escort? Most people want their first time to be really special and shared with someone they love. Ok i realise at 29 that you're probably a little underdeveloped in that area but seriously - couldnt you maybe take the time to join a dating agency or look for someone a little bit special to form a relationship with and give it a bit of time and then share this experience with someone that is a withyou out of emotion rather than being paid to be there??

As a lot of people have said. i think its inappropriate for you to give the girl a gift. it you want to give her something she will really appreciate, give her a generous tip.
Personally, I think you choice is a fair one but still not ideal/ Loosing your virginity may make you more confident with women. However, using an escort doesn't teach you how to go past the friendship stage with a woman. It sounds to me like you need to learn how to seduce a woman and how to be her boyfriend rather than just a friend.

I'm reading between the lines and this, I believe, is a desperate attempt to meet a woman. WELL HERE I AM. Don't go with an escort - this is for the simple reason that once you start having sex you will want to have it again and again - you do no sound wealthy to me (you would have been laid already) so this is just a waste of your money.

Go google S.A.A groups on the internet learn and join a local support group. Another great thing is that you also get a sponser. The problem area for this is religion is often tied in to it like in the A. A. A. but its not about religion primerily. I'm sorry but I just don't think that's the way to go about it. I think that when you have sex for the first time (or any time for that matter) it should be with someone special. I wouldn't consider sleeping with an escort special, as this is what they are paid to do, it means nothing to them really. I am not sure of how you feel about it, only do it if you are one hundred percent sure.
There is nothing worse than losing your virginity to someone who doesn't really care about you, or if they are not even worth the time of day.

You should not lose your virginity to a whore.
I have never paid for sex,but I would imagine that the whole experience is degrading,
You just need to keep trying with decent women,there are plenty out there who will be only too happy to have a sexual relationship,once they have got to know you.
Perhaps your approach is wrong, and you are giving out the wrong signals.
