Carmen Basillio was a really tough and durable fighter with a lot of determination and heart. He was both welter and middleweight champion fighting and beating some of the best fighters in both divisions. He beat Sugar Ray Robinson and lost a close decision in their 2nd fight. There just was no quit whatsoever in Basillio and that is what made him an outstanding fighter.
