If you are talking about Jesus asking us to do Holy Communion. He just said it that way hoping we would
do it. We have spiritual defenses, an aura, and free will
of course.
Taking the Bread, and the Wine, into our bodies lets our defenses down so that the Holy Spirit can get in us and do the work of healing and unifying the
Body of Believers.
Blood is a symbolic term for ones personal spiritual power. The Wine symbolizing Jesus's personal power,
and the Bread the Body, (all of us), of Christ.
"As the body has many members, and those members
being many are one body, so is Christ!"

To remember me by...In rememberance of....
1 Corinthians 11:24 , 25 This do in remembrance of me...as oft as ye eat the bread and drink the cup ye do show the Lord's death till he come.

The communion which is commanded to be observed every first day of the week ( Sunday ) is a memorial to Christ's Great Sacrifice on the Cross.
We partake of the Lord's Supper in memory of his death.
The unleavened bread represents Christ's body and the Fruit of the vine (grape juice) represents his blood.
1 Corinthians 11:23,24,25,26,27,28,29 Is where we find the command and institution of the Lord's supper., by Jesus Christ.

In 1 Corinthians 12:12 WE are clearly shown that there is only ONE Church Of CHRIST and the members are many of that ONE Body, Christ's Church.

By only doing what the Bible says are we truly worshipping him the way he wants and commands.
The Church of Christ does not add to or take away from God's inspired word.

I assume that you are referring to Holy Communion and the instructions that Jesus gave his disciples at the Last Supper. Jesus instituted Communion in a way that his disciples would always remember the sacrifice that he was about to make for humankind. The blood is the covenant between God and the body of Christ, which is the body of believers. This is symbolized by the wine and the bread.

there are certain Rituals and Ceremonies along with gifts and donations which may be performed and made to honor a deserving person -- living or dead -- who has influenced those making the gesture to become honored. this prevents the name of the person from ever being forgotten. although in many years " down the road " what the person actually did may not be remembered but their name will never be forgotten
