Yuck, I wouldn't eat it. Not for any technical or scientific reason, just cause it's gross.
But if you want freaky, I recently bought a carton of eggs at WalMart and 11 out of 12 had double yolks.
...I'm thinking chickens on fertility hormones...

Does a blood spot mean an egg is contaminated?

No. You can’t see bacteria with the naked eye. Blood or meat spots are occasionally found on an egg yolk and are merely an error on the part of the hen. They’re caused by the rupture of a blood vessel on the yolk surface when it’s being formed or by a similar accident in the wall of the oviduct. Most eggs with blood spots are detected by electronic spotters and never reach the market. But, even with mass scanners, it’s impossible to catch them all. Both chemically and nutritionally, eggs with blood spots are fit to eat. You can remove the spot with the tip of a knife, if you wish.

I always throw them out! If youre really feeling cheated- there should be a number on the box or an address, call and complain.

No, I do not eat them. I would report it to the seller of those eggs. Perhaps they need to find another source to buy their eggs

Nothing really wrong with it, ii has been fertilized. unless you bought them from a farm that has free range chickens they should not have been fertile since eegs in a supermarket come from caged layers who never see a rooster, but i don't eat them either.
