You can still convert to muslim. Immodest and sexy dressing does not invalidate your faith. I suggest you to reconsider conversion, because Islam demands scarifice. If you are considering conversion and not even willing to change your dress for the sake of your creater, what's is use. Once you convert, at every point of your life you will face a trial. Early morning prayer call would wake you for prayer and you have scrify you sweet sleep. You would wish to eat something and Ramadan would be an obstacle in fulfilling you desire. So, until you are mentally prepared to sacrify your wishes, wait. Islam means submission and you are not willing to submit. However, if you feel that you can submit gradually and you have willingness to change than you have to say your shahadah.
May Allah guide all of us on true path.

There are many muslims who dont wear hijab but still follow the religion basically. In Pakistan, the country where I am from, and others, many women where tight dresses even the ones who are good muslims. Although that is not considered appropriate in islam, they are still muslims, and there are bigger things that matter. IF you are truly interested in coverting, you should. And later if you feel comfortable in changing the way you dress, do so. If not, then dont. I think in the end what matters is the pureness of your heart. NO one is perfect. Muslims try to abide by the Quran but no one can say that they make no mistakes.
When the Quran is read carefully, anyone can see that it teaches mercy, compassion, love, and peace. For all the people who say otherwise, try to read The Quran in context instead of basing your beliefs of islam on what you hear. Thank you.

I'm not Muslim, but I have a suggestion, though not a very good one. Anyhow, here goes,
Why don't you go ahead and dress like you want for a while, then once in a while , slowly and gradually wear what you like, with a piece or two of traditional Muslim dress along with your normal clothes. (is that even possible?) Once in a great while, at first, go out in complete Muslim dress, like to grocery shop, or something, at first. Maybe if you try this for a while, you'll be able to tell if you can ever change the way you dress. I wish you well. E-mail me if you ever want a Christian's point of view.

You don't need an imam to convert to islam. You just need to say the shahada with a true intention and you will be a Muslim
If you want to be a Muslim and not dress according to the laws, that is up to, but you gotta be open-minded when you hear people talk about it and not just dismiss what they have to say
About the confidence issue, I can tell you this from experience:
looks are like candy wrappers, no matter how good they look (or bad they look) people always end up caring more about what they cover
wish you a sweet life :)

Assallam mu alaikom. Why? What had happened? Don't U know that when U leave Islam U are considered as Murtad ( out of Islam ) and the punishment from Allah S.W.T. will be very painful for doing so.U are from UAE and probably able to understand Arab language and the content in the AlQuran nul Kareem. I belief U know what type of religion Islam is ( The True religion ) and what are the advantages of being a Muslim. Read the history of Islam and the pain our Prophet Muhammad went through in spreading Islam to mankind. After all had been done, we delibrately leave Islam to embrace other religion ( which is not accepted by Allah S.W.T. ) Thus, in Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. last sermon, he did mentioned that he worried about the later Islam worshippers ( us ) for being very loose with Islamic religious knowledge and faith, so much so, that he look at us just like bubbles floating on water ( not strong and firm ) and could be easily influence by other faith. Why don't U look back and consider your desicion seriously. Don't U feel proud to be a Muslim.? Don;t U feel proud of being someone selected by Allah S.W.T. to be a Muslim and embrace the true religion ? Don't U be grateful to have Prophet Muhammad as our saviour who are able to give Syafaat in the day of judgement? Don't U feel proud to have an Alquran ( the holy book ) as our guidance to the correct path ? and many many more things U need to consider. My advice to U is " Do Not Leave Islam " as there is no other religion is accepted by Allah S.W.T. other than Islam. Don't be the loser. Wabillahi taufik walhidayat, Wassallam mu alaikom warah matullah hi ta'ala wabarakatuh.

Welcome to Islam!
May Allah help you and guide you!
To become a Muslim you must accept with the heart and declare with the tongue the Shahaadah : There is no God, but Allah and Muhammad (mercy and peace of Allah be upon him) is Allah's Prophet and Messenger.
You need to take a complete bath to purify yourself.
Remember that Allah understands ALL languages - so you can pray to him in whatever language you speak. You can learn the Qu'raan and how to pray, etc slowly over time.
If you are sincere, please do not let anyone talk you out of it!
Also, please be careful which websites you log onto for info as some websites are designed to mislead and misinform.
If you convert to Islam and thereafter refuse to carry out any aspect or rule of conduct, then you will be sinful and answerable for your misdeed. Allah is Most Merciful, however, and He can forgive any sin except disbelief.
I suggest that if you want to accept Islam, you should - and Insha-Allah, Allah will guide you to proper conduct.
May Allah envelope you in His light!

Dearest,
let me just tell you that your question isn't out of it's place.
InIslam a women's body is is private, her persinol businus a beauty enjoyed by her husband,But why cant she wear what she wants you ask???
That is because she wears what God wants Like the owner of any entity decides what its workers wear ,God decieds what his creatures wear,You actually can wear what you want, so long as it fits God's condition. Any way a muslim women views her body somewhat like you may view yourmony . If you had lots of money , would you pin it all over your clothes or put it in a transparent bag and walk down the street???
because it's valuable to you. It's not that you think that everyone is a criminal that makes you tuck your money away its just in case someone is tempt a person to take it evan if he is not a criminal??
sorry to have taken along time but i hope that i got you to what you wanted, all ower prays for you.
yours:sahara sunshine

Obviously it is not time for you to convert yet. Perhaps you need more time learning and reading. This might not be right for you at all if a simple thing like change of dressing is stopping you. On the other hand maybe you should look at a copy of Azizah Magazine which shows quite stylish clothing for Muslim women.
I will pray for you.
And Allah knows best.
Peace and Blessings,
Imam Salim

Lol. you know what, i have been practising Islam for 2 yrs alhamdulillah. I like you love clothes like this too. I wear hijab, jilbaab and niqab. It doesnt stop me from admiring these clothes. I think it was very very wrong of the Imam to say that. The prophet taught tauhid first, he taught the people faith. Once faith settled in then the laws came. The hijab verse was revealed yrs later. My advice is to learn about god, tauhid, shirk, creed and the saved sect. It is laa ilaha illa allah that will get you into jannah. I know a woman who would practise Islam, pray gain knowledge, fast etc but she couldnt wear the hijab. It took her 8 yrs to put it on. Alhamdulillah she wears the niqab now. She still wears jeans underneath. We are allowed to wear those clothes but it depends infront of whom. Can i email you?

I think the way you like to dress isn't good, but who am i to judge I can't tell you what not to dress but i believe that you should dress like a Muslim woman,if you try to wear it a couple of times you would get use to it.
And I am telling you do not stop your self from converting because of clothes that is silly.
but you can always choose.
wish you luck
