Khadhijah was actually a pagan Hubal worshipper who took Mohammad to the Christian missionary, where he got his ideas about becoming a Prophet from, because, at that time, young Mohammad was a small time gigolo who married and serviced rich old women.

Khadijah, herself, was over 20 years elder to Mohammad and he had also married three more women, at least, who were over 40 years his senior.

Khadija (AS) had a Christain cousin (I think) and she took Prophet Mohemmed (pbuh) to see him and he found out about Christainity and the Bible, and thats how he knew that the revelations were the true message of Allah.
