I download Limewire. I never download copyrighted stuffs. How can I prevent from downloading it my accident. Is there any software?

you can never tell with limewire

if you want to be totally sure
stop using limewire

instead use iTunes 7 for your music....free to download


the podcasts are free
but you must buy songs or movies

but no copyright issues at all

There is no software that tracks to see if other software is legitimate or not. If you want to check if your software is free or not, most developers will include release notes in the software. Look for keywords shareware, freeware, trial software, etc. Try searching open source projects which is by far some of the best software out there.

Limewire, I like the technology of distributing files but I think most people misuse the software to share pirated/copyrighted stuff.

For the people that claim it's not a bad thing to use copyrighted material, that's a judgement call you'll have to make. Stealing is stealing, don't bother justifying it.

If the owner/artist/company sells whatever you are downloading, you should have to pay for it.

If the owner/artist/company gives it away for free, then you DONT have to pay for it.

What the heck do you download from limewire if its not copyrighted? Don't worry everyone does it! It's not a bad thing, no matter what the stupid gov says. They CAN NOT catch you, it might be your computer but they cant prove it was YOU on it. Lots of people use my computer..it could be anyone.
