I hate to say this..but I take Ambien. I also keep a notebook by my bed and write down things that I need to do for the next day to organize my thoughts. The only note with Ambien, it's really tough to get off of...so take it slow:)

Hello: I suffer from it also and yes it does suck. I would like to know more about the people asking the questions so that I could figure out how to best answer them with out offending anyone. Now having said that here is what I do.
First, find soft music to listen too.
Second, take a relaxing bath either before you listen to the music or after.
Then, if the music doesn't work find one of those cd's with whatever kind of sounds you like (ie) birds, trains, you know environment sounds.
If that doesn't work then you may want to considder trying meditation. I focus my mind on one thing and one thing only. I can't shut off my thoughts so I picture something in my brain like something relaxing and go from there. If you would like someone to email with about this please feel free to email me.
Good luck:
