I have the same problem, here's what I do:
1) Go to Sally's Hair and Beauty, a salon wholesaler, and buy the Wella shampoo for greasy hair. It's about £6, but worth it.
2) Shampoo and rinse your hair twice.
3) Only put conditioner on the lengths of your hair.
4) Rinse thoroughly.
If I still get little greasy bits, I use Batiste Dry Shampoo (£2 from Boots). A little bit rubbed into the hair with your finger tips really makes a huge difference, just don't use too much!
I hope this helps!

I have the same problem too, my hair goes greasy within 24 hours of washing it!!
The only solution I've found is to wash it daily (on days that you cant be bothered sprinkle some talc into the roots of your hair, brush through and spritz with hair spray, it helps absorb the grease) You can also buy dry shampoo in brown/blonde/red which works the same as talc)
I know washing every day strips you hair of its natural oils but i tend to use an intensive conditioner once a week and also once a week go a whole day without washing to let it do its thing!
Using a shampoo for oily hair doesnt really work that great to be honest, any will do (try lush for some nice natural ones!) and any condition but dont apply this to the roots of your hair!! Some shampoos will work better for you than others, try them out and you'll find one that suits you best eventually!
Try not to fiddle with your hair near the roots or brush it unnecessarily!

The more beneficial you wash your hair, the greasier it is going to get. i'm a hairdresser and that i wash my hair each and every 3 or 4 days or so. maximum human beings do, because it truly isn't any longer that sturdy on your hair. attempt to flow longer and longer between washing your hair. positioned on it in a ponytail for an afternoon or 2 at the same time as it receives greasy. ultimately you'll prepare your hair to recognize it doesn't favor to change the oils so right away. Your shampoo and conditioner can be the issue. Drugstore shampoos are very harsh, stripping more beneficial away than they favor to, and the conditioners suck. They coat your hair with a wax (extraordinarily Pantene and Herbel Essence) so your hair feels effective for a couple of minutes, yet in reality, the conditioner is doing no longer some thing to maintain your hair healthy. It also motives a ton of advance and promises to the greasy feeling. attempt splurging on more beneficial products. a sturdy shampoo and conditioner are the biggest products you may have on your hair. once you've an Ulta interior sight, they promote a large determination of salon-pleasant hair care products like Redken, Kenra, horny Hair, Chi, Biosilk, TIGI, and far more beneficial. you may also get a dry shampoo for the in-between days. that is a powder/spray that soaks up the a number of extra oils to refresh your look.

My hair is similar, but i wash it every day and by the evening it looks very greasy. The only thing that has improved it is by not using conditioner on the roots as the others have mentioned and believe it or not although this is just personal opinion, I dye my hair darker than its natural colour which helps lots as the roots grow through lighter which helps my hair look less greasy. Also i find that the more products you use on your hair the quicker it becomes heavy and dirty. Hope this helps.

the best thing for you to do is not to wash your hair with shampoos for greasy hair and stop washing it every day, greasy build up on your hair is because your hair is conditioning itself...
the best thing that i found was to use everyday normal soap (yes a bar of soap) and wash your hair every other day... there are not conditioning or special treatments in it. the only problem is that your hair will not look brill for about a week. when your hair stops being greasy all the time then start using shampoo but dont wash your hair every day it is actually bad for your hair and thats why it becomes greasy (to protect itself)
i have long hair as well and i do this if mine gets greasy. it works every time... and last for months not just a cople of days.
Good luck and happy christmas!

Avoid conditioner if you can, depending if your hair is long only use conditioner if you need it and only use it one the ends of your hair and avoid the roots.
One other thing to consider is what products you use on your hair and what you do with your hair.
Products can add grease to your hair so again avoid root area.
Excessive brushing or touching your hair will stimulate your grease glands at the root making your hair greasy.
Some people find dandruff shampoos goo for greasy hair as they tend to strip the hair (not good if your hair is damaged)

I have the same problem.. plus the ends of my hair are dry!.. its a pain... but the best thing to do is when you condition your hair, only do the ends and keep away from the roots as they have enough moisture going on and dont need conditioning.. also try not washing your hair for 2 days, then 3 and so on for as long as you can stand cos eventually your hair will sort itself out.. when you wash it too often you're stripping it of all its natural oils etc.. hope that helps :)

It is not bad to wash your hair everyday, and you shouldn't over do it by shampooing twice or more, you should find a shampoo for an oily scalp and when applying conditioner, only apply at the ends, hope this helps.

Da same happened to me but now im fine the thing is to :
1/ for like 3-4 days dont wash ur hair (i know they are gonna be so greasy but jsut dont mind and think of how they ll look good afterwards :D )
2/ wash ur hair with the T/Gel from Neutrogena , but dont scrub like mad just make them foam for like 2 weeks
3/ then try to wash them evry 2days with another shampoo more basic like Head and SHoulders or Vosene fron Wella
(PS: you can also do what my grandma used to do, the thing is to put a bit of butter (i know...eww) on the roots befor washing them!)
You ll see, the result is very good! ;)
