I would probably avoid work until you have been able to eat a few things over the course of a day.

Ive youve not eaten for three days you are probably not going to be strong enough for work. I would stay home and snack on whatever you feel you can handle. Toast, biscuits, apples, anything non-acidic or non-spicy basically. Avoid milk/dairy as this can upset a delicate tum. At the end of the day, your tummy will soon let you know if it doesnt like what you eat. You probably cant face anything too major anyway.

May sound odd, but drinking flat lemonade is good, it rehydrates and has the right balance of salts. Also tastes nicer than over the counter rehydration products! I recommend it to patients all the time, and drink it myself if ive had an upset tummy.

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and stay home another day. That way you will get your strength up a bit and hopefully avoid passing it round to anyone else.

Begin with lite items like Chicken soup, HOT Tea, and crackers. STAY AWAY from Milk Products!! These are most likely to upset your stomach. I would use the brat diet only after 4 to 6 hours later. I hope that this helps. Have a great week.

Ive just had two weeks of gastro enteritus so i have sympathy with you.

Just try something light to start of with , dry toast or something to give your tum time to recover and I know its try to go easy on the booze over xmas and new year or you will be unwell again.

I will be doing the same and I will be working all over the festive season tooo :(
Godd luck hun

If you were poisoned from a restaurant or takeaway food outlet, I hope you kept a sample of your vomit for the enviromental health. You can claim damages for food poisoning if you have the evidence.

Toast with or without a wee bit of butter.

Try plain water to rehydrate you. Avoid fatty/milky drinks as these can aggravate things and make you vomit more.

I would not eat any solid food yet. Broth should be o.k.
Best just drink pedialite or another re-hydrating drink for babies. That will give you some energy, electrolites, and liquids.
