National costume of Bangladeshis ladies is Sari: A modern rendition of the sari. This article is about the female garment. For the city, see Sari, Iran. A sari (also spelled saree) is the traditional garment worn by many women in the Indian subcontinent. The sari is a very long strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from five to nine yards in length, which can be draped in various styles. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder. The sari is usually worn over a petticoat (called lehenga / ghagra in northern India and pavada / pavadai in the south) and a low-cut, short-sleeved, midriff-baring blouse known in north India as a choli (Blouse). The most common style of draping the sari is wrapped around the waist, and then one end is draped over the shoulder. However, the sari can be draped in several different styles, though some styles do require a sari of a particular length or form.

National costume of Bangladeshis gents is Lungi: The lungi is the most commonly-seen dress of Bangladeshi men, although it is not normally worn on very formal occasions. In Bangladesh, lungis are worn by most men on a daily basis, although elaborately-designed cotton, batik, or silk lungis are also often presented as wedding gifts to the groom. Bengali women do not traditionally wear lungis, although non-Bengali tribal women do wear similar garments in some parts of southeastern Bangladesh. In neighboring West Bengal, the lungi is fast replacing the dhoti as the most popular men's garment for everyday wear. Some Bengali men avoid wearing the lungi, considering it to be too informal or inappropriate, despite the fact that it is both ubiquitous and comfortable.
However, the national costume is not worn on national days by the middle-class gents as this would look too informal and/or naive to wear Lungi outside own home. The ladies may wear costly Saris even in very formal occasions, besides wearing Shalwar and Kamiz.

I would say u ve 2 make differences between the dress of a man and of a woman. national dress 4 the men would b fatua and lungi and 4 the women its salwar kamiz and saree.
Nowadays of course there have been changed some things, the rich men would only wear pant shirt/fatua when they go outside but hardly lungi. i know tht so well coz im bangladeshi.

National dress of Bangladeshi woman is sharee and only sharee. Now a days women and young girls wear other country s dresses ( skirt, shirt, pant, t-shirt, salwar-kamij etc) according to their choice. But none of those belong to our culture..
