the whole I'm not worth anything, the stealing my belongings cos he thinks he's being clever, just a whole lotta crap. Once, I was playing football w/ the guys and my friend, and the boy put on the whole jerk act again. His friend got all irritated, and told him to piss off and play with his girlfriend. Now, I know he has a crush on me. I can't be within a small distance of him without him pushing my buttons. I constantly feel like slapping him. How do I let him know I'm not interested (w/o using the direct approach) and get him off my back?

Indirect approaches are going to be longer. Just try to make him admit his crush, and then make him understand that your interests are way different than his. Politely, of course.
