There were obviously people before the time of Jesus. What happened to those people that never even knew of God as we know it? Were they sent to hell when they died for not worshiping/believing in God even though they had no idea of him?

Aaaa...E...yes, if you read the Old Testament there were a lot of people here before the time of Jesus, including the Jewish people. I really do not know what happened to them when they died but I am sure God has a plan.

According to the bible nothing happens when you die. We are just sleeping until the second coming of Jesus. All those who have died are now sleeping waiting for the great day of judgment.
