Depends on what age, it has moved through the extremes. In the beginning of these major religions, religion and politics were completely unrelated as religion served as a vehicle to enlightenment and higher acquaintance with the source through ones own innate spiritual natures. However when political emperors saw that they could take advantage of this knowledge and suit it for their agenda, they changed things and corrupted things by the sword and used it as a form of control over the people, who previously from their movements true source gave all power into their hands, it moved towards them being submissive and under the power of governmental rule. So I would say it became to the point that these things became interlocked once the movements were institutionalized and opposite to their first principles became great tools to control people.

All to play upon superstitution that was nonexistent in such movements when they weren't institutionalized when they knew the allegory which in our modern day is literal to the believers who are not seekers, all playing upon peoples fears.

the merchants control most everything in this country (USA). Christians have just had issues they wanted addressed. The thing that makes controling us voters so easy is the hate the south has had for the north ever since the days of reconstruction. Silly huh. If that hatred did not exist then we could vote on issues and make a differance but this way there are too small a number of people whose votes are not already decided and the merchants can control this small number of people with progaganda and lies oif other types.Seems we pride ourselves on being stupid.

Have considered politicians utilising faith for their political reward. on the different hand, faith has no connection with politics. faith is a faith , in no way plagued via any style of politics.
