Becasue if you don't you'll fail and get kicked out like I did. Oh what a fool I am. And you will be too. You have been warned.

Plus the bare minimum now days for most jobs is a BA in SOMETHING so college is a good jump start for getting better pay in almost any job. For instance my friend has a degree in theater and is working on computers and is getting payed considerably more then a guy he works with (who does the same job) who doesn't have a college degree at all.

Because a gazillion other people in this world have not only a college diploma, but also a Bachelor/Master degree.

How are you going to compete with these people for job? Unless you want to be unemployed, then, you can do whatever you want.

It's about gaining a competitive age. Plus, would you rather be stupid or smart?

Simple as that.

Not all of us are able to go to university. At a college you learn skills for life, getting a better job, higher salary...inclusion of people in education...check out the government dfes website and learn about lifelong learning policies and skills for life etc...
