I think either the guy is loaded or really good looking ( in her eyes ) as most 42 year old men do not look their age and can be easily mistaken for a guy in his thirties. I used to love looking at good looking women and as all men do look out for anything visible. However, at 49, she could well have been my daughter and crazily enough thats how I see all the good looking girls of today. There is no more ogling or any fantasy - its more of what a nice "girl" and not woman.

They are both consenting adults so I say go for it.
I know when I was 22 I wouldn't have wanted anything to do with a man that age but everybody has different tastes.

I wouldn't think much of it. Depending on the man, he may not look like he is in his forty's. The woman may be a tanning freak and she could look like she is in her forty's. To me 20 years isn't that big of a age jump once both people are over 21.

my friend married a man at least 20 or 30 years older then herself. They look ridiculous together! He looks like her father. Plus they now have a small child. I really think they look like daughter, mother, & grandfather. I've been asked several times if that's her father.
I now don't want to spend time with her because I can't look at them with a straight face. Seriously, it's a bad idea.

Been there. I was forty, she was 23. In fact, she asked ME out. It's kinda like watching a fat couple making out on the bus with tongue. If you don't like what you see, turn your head, keep your mouth shut and mind your own damned business. It doesn't concern you.

I'd think he was going through a mid-life crisis and wonder what the young woman saw in someone who was old enough to be her father. My guess would be that she was in it for the money.

I would think that he's possibly somehow taking advantage of her. He's maybe having a midlife crisis and going out with a young girl makes him feel younger.
