pray to God and ask Him to show you the way

He may answer you by bringing a new friend into your life who shares thier faith with you

He may answer you by strategically placing you in a situation where you stumble across a Holy book or religous music that inspires you

He may just give you a spiritual revelation on your own

However, it will not happen immediately, nor will it happen if you are not honestly seeking Him.

Good luck!

By reading up on them and seeing which want feels right for you. I did not like how women are treated in the bible. So I am not Christian. I did not want to follow something that would do things like that.
Genesis 19:4-8
They wanted the Guys Lot said here take my girls and do what you want.
Judges 19:22-29
They wanted a Guy So they gave them a girl and they abused her all the night until the morning

See.. I don't like the way women were treated and I was not going to follow something that let that happen

To be honest, you're usually brought up following a religion. If not...it's not like joining a club. Maybe if you're so interested, you should just do some research on as many religions as you can, but I guarantee that will be confusing. You won't know which way to go. I think maybe you're lucky not having your religion chosen for you by your parents.

You don't have to necessarily follow any religion. You can be an atheist if you choose, or you can be spiritual without being religious. What ever you choose to believe, just be sure that you are being authentically you. Never choose your beliefs based on what any other people, or any books tell you. Always let your higher self, or your soul, and your heart tell you what to believe. All paths are equally valid, in God's eyes, as long as they are authentic to that individual.

Easy - 1) You obtain a basic science education so you have factual knowledge about how the world works. 2) You study the dogma of various religions and what it means to be an atheist or
agnostic. 3) You follow whichever course in 2) that does not contradict the factual knowledge you gained in 1)

By reading the available scripture and inquiring about the life of their founders. Then looking at the way its followers are living today and carrying the message forward. Logic and intuition are two essential elements to make the final decision and reach the station of certitude. The independant investigation of Truth is a principle to follow, instead of being distracted by the materialist aspects of this world.

Jesus is the way to heaven. He's the only who was dead on the cross for us. You will really want to be careful about following religion but having a relationship with Christ. Many people have follow religion and experience hurt and empty wallet. With all that on the table, the only way you have relationship with Christ is you find a church that teach the bible and encourage the congregation to read their bible and know the about the Christ they're serving and not into entertainment or financial prosperity.

Partial saturation, partial logical deduction. I of course was raised Christian, but I now find myself living in a world that states that following the ways of Yahweh is both evil and just plain idiotic. Looking at several religions from various angles, I conclude that for me, Christianity just seems a much wiser choice.

If you're battling with what religion you want to take, be very careful with who you talk to.

Scientifically of course. When you choose a dentist you need two criteria. He must know what he is doing (Knowledge) and he must have your best interests at heart (not a kid you beat up at school) - Apply this same test to selecting a religion and you short list them very quickly...most are OK on the knowledge part but only one claims to love you enough to die for you. All the best.

Get a load of religious texts, have a religious text evening with your friends, discuss the Koran, the Bible, Scientology, maybe lay on a buffet, then at the end of the evening rip all the pages from all the religious texts you have, place them all on the floor, blindfold yourself and throw a dart into the text. Hopefully your true god will have guided your decision, and where the dart hits will be for you. Hope this helps.

Freedom of Choice

[33:72] We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

[33:73] For GOD will inevitably punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and the idol worshipping men and the idol worshipping women. GOD redeems the believing men and the believing women. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Do Not Follow Your Parents' Religion Blindly

[5:104] When they are told, "Come to what GOD has revealed, and to the messenger," they say, "What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us." What if their parents knew nothing, and were not guided?

[5:105] O you who believe, you should worry only about your own necks. If the others go astray, they cannot hurt you, as long as you are guided. To GOD is your ultimate destiny, all of you, then He will inform you of everything you had done.

No Compulsion in Religion

[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient
[2:257] GOD is Lord of those who believe; He leads them out of darkness into the light. As for those who disbelieve, their lords are their idols; they lead them out of the light into darkness - these will be the dwellers of Hell; they abide in it forever.

QURAN is the only WORD OF GOD in ORIGINAL/PURE FORM. Reason is clear in the verse below, that GOD promised to protect QURAN.

[15:9] Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it.

The Quranic challenge (since past 1400 years, present and future)

Here are the verses that mention the challenge;

Say, "If all the humans and all the jinns banded together
in order to produce a Quran like this, they could never
produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance
they lent one another." [17:88]

If you have any doubt regarding what we revealed to our
servant, then produce one sura like these, and call upon
your own witnesses against GOD, if you are truthful.
[2:23]

This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than
GOD. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a
fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from
the Lord of the universe. If they say, "He fabricated it,"
say, "Then produce one sura like these, and invite
whomever you wish, other than GOD, if you are truthful."
[10:37-38]

If they say, "He fabricated (the Quran)," tell them, "Then
produce ten suras like these, fabricated, and invite
whomever you can, other than GOD, if you are truthful."
[11:13]

Do they say, "He made it all up?" Instead, they are
simply disbelievers. Let them produce a Hadith like this,
if they are truthful. [52:33-34]
