there are many reasons why you could be loosing your hair.
it could be:::
-hereditary
-your diet
-stress & anxiouty
-hair products
-shampoo or conditioner.......etc
honestly i would consult a doctor about it before you try using all sorts of products that some of these crazy people on here suggest...lol
jus to be safe....many men and women consult doctors for this...
if it if your hair products or shampoo/conditioner.
try getttin products without alcohol or acids...it may be difficult to search for....but they do exist....lol
all you have to do is look at the bottles ingredients to find out. alcohol and too many acids can damage your hair...split ends, dry it out, may cause hair loss if used exsessively....
but take my advice..consult a physican.

The best brand professional shampoos and conditioners for both of your scalp conditions is Nioxin. You can find it at salons in your area. They have very special ingredients not only to control dandruff, but they help your hair follicles become healthy so your existing hair won't fall out at a more-than-natural rate.
I would NEVER recommend shampoos like Head & Shoulders because they make your dandruff disappear for a little while, but then it comes back twice as bad, so you buy more and more of their product.
If you find that Nioxin isn't strong enough and your hair is still falling out, you'll want to see a dermatologist as soon as possible. You may have a skin parasite that feeds on the bonds that keep your hair strands in their follicles. Don't worry, though. it's very common and you don't have "cooties"!
Also, it's important for you to get a lot of rest, keep your stress levels down, and eat a well-balanced meal. I've seen personally through my ten years as a beauty professional that when my clients cut out junk food and get more protein, their hair and skin ALWAYS looks and feels better.

dear anu,
my problem is the same as yours
why don't you try garnier fructis it works
i know at this time you need to be extra careful with your long hair as they may lose the thickness anu many people may be giving many advices but if you follow all of them it'll become a very big problem.
i would advice you to stop shampooing your hair too much and oil your hair regularily.flex protein building conditioner is very good
