I told the guy i like and am starting to see that I had to be honest, and that I just got out of a relationship with someone i was in love with and that he wanted to work things out with me. he later said he felt i had lead him on and that id used him. Why? I was just trying to be honest about taking it slow and now I feel bad. What do i do?

he's feeling hurt and his ego has been bruised since he now knows that he was just a rebound.

I think it's because he was in love with you and took you really seriously. He was (and is) really hurt because he expected more from you and didn't expect you to want to go to back to the other guy. He felt as if you were using him for temporary purposes before going back with the man you were in love with.
I think you and that man you like (who feels used) should just take a break from each other. There's not much you can do at this moment, just give it time.

He doing the "Guilt Trip thing" don't worry about it. Even if you stayed with him he would only be the Transistional boyfriend anyway. A transitional boyfriend is a boyfriend who is next after a serious relationship has ended and will not last because you have not yet accepted the fact you are not with the last guy again.

Guys are narrow-minded people if u know them well. They refer what u did as cheating & it will forever stay on their minds. Try to explain your feelings to this guy & why u did that, if he likes u too, he will understand & accept. Sadly, if he dont, u might as well go back to the one u love.

you should have not started a new relationship if you were still interested in working out your old one
