We're looking at the fine with a cool interior and the wife seems to be excited about it. But I read reviews of door looks going out, along with the a/c, brakes, and some very major mechanical repairs that worry me. Some people swear by them, others hate em. I plan to get it checked out by my mechanic and buy a carfax history on it. But before all--should i think about buying it anyway?

Based on the vehicle I assume you plan to spend no more than $5,000. The GMC is a good choice especially if you choose one with AWD. They can tow more than any other minivan and have higher ground clearance that, when added with AWD, could really help in snow or mud. Reliability wise it would all depend on the vehicle, the amount of care from the previous owner, mileage and overall status. There are some other choices out there like the Chevrolet Lumina, Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager, Ford Aerostar, Ford Windstar, Mazda MPV, and Mercury Villager/Nissan Quest. Out of all those I'd say the GMC/Chevrolet and the Mazda MPV might be your best bets. Good luck.

When you buy the unlimited Carfax account you also get access to Safety and Reliability Reports on vehicles. That can help with you decision on make and model. Then when you look at a specific car, Carfax can help there with the Vehicle History Report which is what they are most known for.

SUVs are much less high priced now, via fact they get such depressing gasoline financial gadget. stress by using any used vehicle lot and seem heavily at what's there. Rows of huge V8 autos! very few competitively priced fashions. endure in ideas, too, that truck based SUVs are no longer designed to be as secure as vehicles, and regularly are not examined for crash worthyness. the place I stay, the poorest everybody is in Suburbans, via fact no one else needs them. Do you have $one hundred fifty to fill the gasoline tank? these days, being considered in a great SUV makes human beings think of you're in poverty, no longer inspired.
