version of the Frosts "Witch's Bible?" How do you feel about their advocation of initiating children into the Craft through sex? Why do they still have such a large following in the community when they have such twisted sick ideas?

I know this is not on keeping with tenets of Wicca and that most Wiccans would feel just as sick as I do about this...but I still see them getting so such support...there is even someone on this board who repeated recommends them and their Wicca school to newbies and I cringe everytime I see it. Just figured it was time to shed some light on something that has wrongly been swept under the carpet for too long...

Having read this material, yes, I've seen this. I've spoken with Gavin myself, and he will tell you, as he did me, that he is not pagan. And personally, I couldn't be happier. However, as he is not Christian or Jewish or Muslim, he does fall into the category of pagan... oh well.

But if you have bothered to scratch more than just the surface of what the Frosts teach, besides their witchcraft courses, you will find a very bazaar religious teaching involving reincarnation, an askew view of why folks are gay and this "thing" about deflowering young children. Not what we who are "Wiccan" call Wicca.

The Frost's version of "Wicca" is nothing like what Gardner or Valiente or Cunningham or even Silverwolf teaches when we discuss Wicca. The Frosts applied for a 501c3 in the late 70s, received it for a term they hijacked from other practicing pagans at the time, and got authority to call their religion Wicca from the IRS. However, if you look closely, it is nothing like what we practice as Wicca today.

Abuses happen in ALL religions, and are not confined to specific cultures or religions. We know about the Frosts, we acknowledge it and we warn others who don't read too deeply into what is being taught to look a lot closer at the teachings of these people for a better understanding of what really is going on.

Older religions have been around a longer time to work abuse into their systems and disguise it. I suggest we open the doors and let everyone see the bodies here.

We do not tolerate abuses of any kind in our spirituality. Make no mistake about that. While pagans and Wiccans are tolerant of many things, we have a zero tolerance for abuses of any kind.

Many of us don't follow Frost at all. I have read that book but I choose to go by the rede. In every group there are sickos and weirdo's but most of us don't do that and would never do that. All the Wiccans I know would die to defend a child. The fact we have a very few that might do something like this is just a sickening as a few Catholic priests that might harm a child.

properly you won't be able to easily 'be' Wiccan, that is a call yet in case you imagine that it truly is the religion for you than more beneficial potential to ya yet examine the Wiccan rede and observe if it sounds precise also learn and skim so in any case yeah sturdy success and congratulations.

While i have a aging copy of this book around in my collection. I haven't read it in full. like most of them.
From the quick read through. it looks like they let the wrong person get some control over their church and school and introduced a combination of Mideastern practices and Mormonism into the teachings.
Their church may have a large following but they themselves have lost control due to age over the practices of their church.
If they are forcing under age children into having full contact sex then they are no longer teaching Witchcraft and should lose their certification as a Church and School.
Also to many people would like to break in children before their time in the practicing of sexual activity. They learn fast enough on their own.

Read up on Wicca once. Other than Frost. Read something else, I have never herd of having sex infront of or with miinors. Remember though if you will the preist and rabi that had sex with minors, so are you saying that Christans and Jews are sick too?

I hear ya!! It is sick, and I know of the people you are referring to, one of which hasn't posted here for a while... I wonder why???

I do own a copy, I am sad to say, but I wanted to read it in full myself before condemning it outright, but you are correct, they are simply people who use a beautiful religion to hide behind while they commit perverted acts upon children and each other.

Not a very Wiccan book. I mean we vow not to harm others. And forcing anyone to have sex or to make them believe in a religion that they can't comprehend is not Wiccan.. So that's why I haven't read it. Look at the Wiccan principles of belief.

8. Calling oneself "Witch" does not make a Witch -- but neither does heredity itself, nor the collecting of titles, degrees and initiations. A Witch seeks to control the forces within her/himself that make life possible in order to live wisely and well without harm to others and in harmony with Nature. 3

I've not read all of it - just parts. But then I was brought up on The Golden Bough, so...

The Frosts have been all kinds of discreditted, so I cannot say why they still have followers.

i havent read it and i dont take those people seriously. lots of people stick sick things into various religions you dont have to follow. thankfully the craft has no hard outline, you can pick what you wish to accept, Harm None, do as you will. Blessed Be

That's crazy. I would never initiate my daughter unless she wanted me to and it certainly wouldn't be through sex.

I have several book you might call a "Witch's Bible" but they don't say anything about pedophilia and I would never advocate it if it did.
