The day before, the tv was ok, the screen was very clear but the following day when switched, no picture came out. Nothing was visible on screen but the sound was clear. We could hear conversation in drama, etc. We tested the antenna by placing it on another tv and it was ok. There was picture coming out from the tested tv. What is wrong why suddenly the screen became black?

Sounds like the picture tube is flat busted. Getting it replaced will probably be more trouble that it's worth. Time to find a new one, and you'll get your pick of the new technology. Have fun.

It sounds like you lost the high voltage, which is what lights up the picture tube. If it's out of warranty, it will probably not be cost effective to repair it.

Yeah, it has over the years i think of, and subsequently *maximum* mainstream video clips are with out subtlety... yet tbh i think of numerous the superb video clips ever have been produced this decade, it particularly is my famous decade for video clips in certainty, as I care greater relating to the stable ones than the undesirable ones. to this point as music, yeah i'm going to trust Vicky, different than i could say the society and how of existence can impact one yet another, particularly than way of existence purely reflecting society. i'm unsure if this "loss of subtlety" is inevitably a undesirable subject in *all* factors of society, in all possibility it particularly is a mix, as often times attempting to be diffused can get interior the way. MQ: i'm going to pass with The Door - Neal Morse, relating to the story of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. BQ: actual i'm going to agree the older Horror video clips are much better, Poltergeist counts i think of, enjoyed that one.

Could be the video cable to the tv? Try switching the video cable with a new one... or it could be the picture tube (rare) burnt out.
