No, the signature is to acknowledge you received the ticket which states either your court date or that you know you'll be getting a court date.

You can still be convicted of the offense. At best, you can get out of a Failure to Appear charge for not showing up.

If you refuse to sign, the cop usually has the option of making you give a thumb print or hauling you off to jail for some reason (usually, failure to obey a lawful command of a peace officer).

No it does not matter if you sign the ticket( I always put the phone number to the courthouse their so they can call for the fine), it is not an admission of guilt. That ticket is a summons to appear for the citation to contest, or to contact the court to pay the fine.

Nope doesn't matter.........get it taken care of or you'll have a warrant out for your arrest for Failure to reply to a ticket

In our state, if you refuse to sign the ticket (failure to comply), you WILL go to jail.

Why no one would sign, when it's no admission of guilt, I do not know.....
