What makes me angry...that my mother insists on finding all the bad news about the country I now call home, but won't allow me to say anything about some of America's rather questionable policies. I spend my whole summer vacation holding my tongue because she goes into a sulk if I say anything negative about America, yet she scours the newspapers so she can point out the negative things in my overseas home.
Another thing that makes me angry is that my folks have the money and the air miles to come and see my overseas home, but have not come. I have to make the trip on a much lower income every summer. My mother, in particular, has no desire to see it. My dad would come, but not without mom. How will she ever understand me when she hasn't even seen what this country is like? I know what it's like to live in America and I don't really care for life there. My life is in another country, yet after 4 years she still can't grasp that. I know she would like to have the kind of relationship with me that she has with my sister, but how will that ever be possible when she won't even come to see the place I now call home and the people I consider my overseas family.
Sorry, that's been bothering me for a while, especially as I see my expat friends' families coming to visit within 6 months of their arrival and I've been here 4 years.

There's nothing at all in my personal life to be angry about. I've been married to the most wonderful woman in the world for 45 years. Life is good. I do get horribly angry, though, when I read the newspaper and see the grotesque waste of our young peoples lives in a criminal war in Iraq. Sometimes I just want to scream STOP THE KILLING.

Lots of things.
My ex husband used to deny me the right to express anger. When I did he beat the crap out of me. Another is being accused of things I didn't do. Another is (this one is yanking my chain at this moment) I absolutely hate it when some on doesn't have the balls enough to tell me I did something they didn't like until they have back up. My boyfriend has been doing it all week since his family has been here. He has also accused me of things I didn't do and been looking fr a reason to B***ch instead of B***ching for a reason! ARGH! If you dont have the back bone enough to say something alone don't do it in front of your back up! And don't air your dirty laundry to anyone else but the peron who made the mud!
