there's this guy that i really like but the thing is all we do is exchange mails and due to his really tight schedule, the most number of mails we can exchange up to is 3 which is limited to the weekends reply(he apologized to me abt that which i thought was sweet!) but everyday seems like a guessing game for me because i have to guess if he's going to reply today or any other day or even if he wants to reply! at the beginning, i'm quite positive that he's interested in me but now i'm not sure anymore. i've asked him out before but i guess i was being too direct and scare him off a little, i wanna ask for his number or maybe out for coffee one day but i'm really afraid he will not reply and there goes our friendship which i cherish so so much..tell me what i can do?
he told me that he's having his hols now till 3rd of jan, is that a hint for me to ask him out? i don't wanna read too much in to it but i'm already at my wit's end..pls help..

You know, I seldom meet a guy who HINTS. As in, they're usually the ones who are looking for hints right?
In any case, just go about it casually. Asking him out for coffee sounds like a good idea.
Don't appear too eager though. 'Cause that'll be totally lame if he says no.

umm.. telling u that he is gonna have holidays doesnot mean he is trying to show that he is free and want u to ask him out!!! try not to read between lines.. it might so happen that he likes to keep in touch with u consider u as a good friend... it is now upto you to decide in which way u want this realtiship to go.. can u be with him just as a friend...
i am sure he likes you as a friend at this moment and he will not mind if you just ask him out , but ask him in a joking way or in a joke , so that if he refuses you'll not feel bad and also he will not feel bad / akward to refuse in case if he is busy...

tell you what?try this.do not reply to his next mail.he'll mail you again.curiosity..u know if you've been giving him the impression that he can play you easy.do not reply yet one more time.lets see if he mails you again he's interested.i know its kinda tough doing this when you really like him but its better than looking desperate.and please let him gather the guts to ask you out.do not take hints!

what have you got to lose in reality right now it is just exchanging letters, and not working out to well, so either try to kick it up a notch, or lose it either way there is some risk.
